What Does Mike Tyson Find Difficult In Preparing For Roy Jones Jr.?

Mike Tyson has detailed the one thing he finds particularly difficult about preparing for Roy Jones Jr.

Tyson is gearing up for a clash with Jones on November 28. This will be an exhibition matchup. It was supposed to take place on September 12. The bout was pushed back in an effort to more effectively market the event.

Tyson appeared as a guest on The Joe Rogan Experience. During his appearance, “Iron” Mike said he believes his bout with Jones will be violent. He also revealed the difficulty in preparing for Jones (via MMAMania.com).

“Of course it is. Because both of us are who we are, and we’re gonna show our skills and nobody’s gonna look stupid. It’s just going to be interesting, I think. … I’m just prepared to do a lot of running and chasing. That was real difficult to get into condition for, chasing this little f**king guy around the ring.”

Tyson went on to say that while he is unsure what he’ll do after the Jones fight, he did admit that fighting for selfish purposes no longer fuels him.

“We don’t know what the future holds, but we’re just looking forward to having fun and a purpose, a reason. Hey, I’m not interested in a title, I’m just interested in fighting for the title of giving. It feels soul-cleaning for some reason. Doing it for myself doesn’t do it for me no more.”

Tyson had always talked about how he was afraid of his ego growing to the point where he wants to get back inside the ring. That ego has certainly taken over and has driven Tyson to return. Things are a bit different this time, however. Tyson says his purse will be going to charity.
