What Is Amir Khan’s Prediction For Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr.?

Amir Khan has made a prediction on the upcoming bout between Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr.

Tyson and Jones are set to collide on November 28. This will be an eight-round exhibition match. There will be no judges and if a fighter suffers a cut, the fight will be stopped.

Both Tyson and Jones have certainly created a buzz going into the fight. Khan gave his own take during an interview with Fight Hub (h/t BoxingNews24.com).

“I like them both, they’re both legends to me,” Khan said. “I look up to both fighters, and secondly, I feel like they shouldn’t be in the ring together. They’re legends, why come in the ring? What’s making them come and fight? They don’t need to change their legacy, and one punch can change their life. They can get hurt badly. One punch can definitely hurt them. I don’t know what’s made Mike and Roy fight each other. I mean, they might be friends, I don’t know. But who’s going to win this fight? Roy Jones, in my opinion.”

Khan went on to say that he’s confident in the speed advantage of Jones. He said that while Tyson is in tremendous shape, he’s unsure if “Iron” Mike will do well for eight rounds. He also cites the fact that Jones is younger. Khan also doesn’t believe Jones has been in as many wars as Tyson has.

Tyson hasn’t seen action inside the boxing ring since a 2006 exhibition match. He took on Corey Sanders in what was supposed to be the start of a tour. It ended up being the first and last stop on that “tour.”

Meanwhile for Jones, he last competed back on February 8, 2018. He defeated Scott Sigmon via unanimous decision to capture the WBU (German Version) Cruiserweight Championship. Jones retired after the fight but said a chance to share the ring with Tyson was too good to pass on.
