Where To Watch: David Benavidez Vs. David Lemieux

David Benavidez is looking to be a champion once more.

Though it won’t be Canelo Alvarez or Jermall Charlo, Benavidez will be given a shot at the interim WBC super middleweight title against David Lemieux in Glendale, Arizona.

Benavidez, a former two-time WBC champion, fought twice in 2021 and won by TKO in both. Benavidez recorded a stoppage over Ronald Ellis in March and then dismantled Kyrone Davis in November.

Lemieux, a former middleweight champion, is 9-1 with five knockouts. He lost his IBF title to Gennadiy Golovkin in October 2015. He most recently overcame David Zegarra last June.
