Where To Watch: David Benavidez Vs. Kyrone Davis Tonight
David Benavidez is looking to make a statement in the super middleweight division.
And he plans on doing that when he faces Kyrone Davis Saturday night in his hometown of Phoenix, Arizona.
Benavidez (24-0, 21 KOs) was a two-time WBC super-middleweight champion, holding the title between 2017 to 2018 and then 2019 to 2020, but that reign ended when he failed to make weight against Alexis Angulo in 2020.
Davis (16-2-1, 6 KOs) is a late replacement for Jose Uzacategui, who was pulled after testing positive for a banned performance enhancer.
Davis is not a name really known in the sport, so a win over Benavidez would be a big one.
