Where To Watch: Errol Spence Jr Vs. Yordenis Ugas Tonight
The time has come.
A new unified welterweight champion will emerge after Errol Spence Jr and Yordenis Ugas put their respective belts on the line for the main event on a SHOWTIME pay-per-view on Saturday.
Spence, the WBC and IBF titleholder, has not fought since 2020 when he defeated Danny Garcia. He was scheduled to return to the ring against Manny Pacquiao in August, but an eye injury forced him to pull out days before the anticipated matchup.
Then it was Ugas, the WBA super welterweight titlist, who stepped in on short notice. The Cuban boxer was a massive underdog to the Filipino future Hall of Famer, but he made a name for himself after upsetting Pacquiao with a unanimous decision win.
Now, Ugas is looking to do the same upset against one of the welterweight division’s top contenders.
