Where To Watch: Joshua Franco Vs. Andrew Moloney 3; Pro Debut Of Ali’s Grandson Nico Ali Walsh
Andrew Moloney said he wanted a third battle with Joshua Franco, but just not in Las Vegas.
Moloney (21-1) lost a closely contested, 12-round unanimous decision to Franco in their first fight in June 2020. The next bout on November 14 was declared a no contest, so they’re trying again on Saturday, August 14 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The Oklahoma State Athletic Commission, not the WBA, chose the officials for the bout to avoid any scoring controversy that followed the interim welterweight title fight between Gabriel Maestre and Mykal Fox last Saturday.
Junior welterweight contender Arnold Barboza Jr. (25-0, 10 KOs) will meet Mexico City’s Antonio Moran (26-4-1, 19 KOs) Saturday as well in a 10-round opener.
ESPN will also air the pro debut of Nico Ali Walsh, Muhammad Ali’s grandson, who will face Jordan Weeks (4-1, 2 KOs) in a four-round middleweight match.
Here’s a breakdown of the who are the matchups, where and when to watch.
