Which Major Title Fight Is WBC Ordering?
A big WBC Title fight has been ordered.
WBC and IBO Super-Featherweight Champion Terri Harper has been ordered to put her WBC gold on the line against Katharina Thanderz. Harper won the WBC Super-Featherweight Title back on February 8. Her run with the IBO gold began on July 19, 2019.
Harper took to her Twitter account to express her enthusiasm over the title defense against Thanderz.
Can’t wait Katharina is another very good fighter a fight that gets me really excited 🤜🏻🤛🏻 https://t.co/q8bRBaIoZD

“Can’t wait Katharina is another very good fighter a fight that gets me really excited.”
The order from the WBC should come as no surprise. That’s because Thanderz captured the interim WBC Super-Featherweight Title back on November 16, 2019. She bested Danila Ramos via split decision.
Thanderz commented on the mandatory status of her title bout with Harper (via Boxing Scene).
“I feel that I can finally prove to everyone that taking that step was worth it, and that sometimes patience, endurance, and hard work are the key to succeed,” Thanderz said. “It’s for sure one of the biggest dreams that I’ve had, and I feel more than prepared. I know it will be a tough fight. We’re on a certain level now that nothing is really easy. We’re both very good fighters, each of us have our own qualities and both of us will be willing to do everything to win. It will be a very competitive and physical fight from the start to the end. Nothing would make me happier than becoming Norway’s next World Champion. It will be a great opportunity to make my country proud, to represent Norway in the ring, and show the world some real Viking power!”
Both Harper and Thanderz are undefeated. Harper has amassed a pro boxing record of 10-0-1. Thanderz’s record stands at 13-0.
Harper did have a draw in her last outing. It was a split draw against Natasha Jones on August 7.
Team Sauerland, who represents Thanderz, is set to begin negotiations with Matchroom Boxing to make the mandatory title fight a reality.
