Floyd Mayweather and Khabib Nurmagomedov have made it clear they want to fight one another, but according to UFC President Dana White, the only way it happens is in the Octagon.
While Mayweather believes that there is a 70% chance that he can get Khabib in the ring to box for a nine-figure payout, but Dana won’t allow it in the squared circle.
“Listen, if Mayweather wants to fight, come fight. You fight in the UFC. We’re not boxing him. We did that once. That’s over.”
White referring to Mayweather’s 2017 boxing match against Conor McGregor, but White told TMZ this weekend that if Mayweather wants a fight, come to them.
“You wanna fight? You come fight … a REAL fight,” The UFC President told TMZ. With Nurmagomedov awaiting his fate from the Nevada Athletic Commission and a potential fight with Tony Ferguson, a Mayweather showdown may be on the back burner.
