‘Who’s Going To Beat Him?’: Scott Coker Names AJ McKee as No. 1 Pound For Pound Fighter In MMA

President of Bellator Promotion Scott Coker said his pick for the No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter in all MMA.

Coker named AJ McKee as the top-ranked pound-for-pound fighter in all of MMA.

“I do (think he’s the best in the world). I mean, who’s going to beat him?” Coker said. “Who’s going to beat this kid? I mean, he’s that good.”

The last time McKee fought was at Bellator 263. His rival was one of the top fighters in the promotion, Patricio Freire. McKee finished Freire in the first round via submission guillotine choke after a high kick, dethroning his opponent.

McKee remained undefeated, undisputed featherweight champion of Bellator. Following the title win, he climbed to the top of Bellator’s pound-for-pound rankings.

The fighter currently has a record of 18-0 in his pro MMA career, six via TKO, seven submissions, and five decision wins.

McKee is going to defend his title for the first time against the winner of the following upcoming featherweight fight between Adam Borics — who has 17 victories and only one defeat — and undefeated fighter Jay Jay Wilson.

“When I first saw him fight years ago, I saw something in this kid. I saw potential in him. He had a little swagger, the gift of gab – he had that ‘it’ factor, and he’s developed into a big star. The way he fought ‘Pitbull,’ it’s very rare you see such a dominant performance in such a big fight like that. It was his night,” Coker said.
