Why Are Doctors So Upset With Joe Rogan?

UFC commentator Joe Rogan has managed to upset the medical community once again.

This came after he spoke about the coronavirus pandemic in one of his recent episodes of the Joe Rogan Experience podcast with Dr Robert Malone that aired on December 31, 2021.

A coalition of over 200 medical professionals and educators have addressed Spotify in an open letter, asking the platform to put in place “misinformation policy” so that the content that Rogan is posting can be authenticated.

The medical professionals are irked with Spotify for not taking any action against the discussion, which the authors believe, can spread misinformation regarding the pandemic to the masses.

Rogan is not a fan of COVID vaccines.

He has said that young people don’t need to vaccinate themselves, claiming that they have a strong immune system. But the science doesn’t agree with his statement as millions of young men and women have died of the virus.

The letter also stated that has “discouraged vaccination in young people and children, incorrectly claimed that mRNA vaccines are ‘gene therapy,’ promoted off-label use of ivermectin to treat COVID-19 (contrary to FDA warnings), and spread a number of unsubstantiated conspiracy theories.”

The average age of JRE listeners is 24. Authors have argued in the letter, “unvaccinated 12-34-year-olds are 12 times more likely to be hospitalized with COVID than those who are fully vaccinated.”
