Whyte-Pulev Head To Purse Bid

After Kubrat Pulev and Dillian Whyte were unable to reach a deal for the IBF heavyweight title eliminator, both men are now heading to a purse bid on May 10th.

Pulev returns to the ring for the first time since needing to pull out of his fight with Anthony Joshua in late 2017, and being replaced by Carlos Takam.

Whyte is looking to get another crack at Joshua, as the British superstar holds the only victory over Whyte. Whyte has won his last seven fights, including a one-sided knockout of Lucas Browne in March.

Whyte is currently the WBC silver title, and considered the top contender for a shot at Deontay Wilder, but with Whyte’s promoter Eddie Hearn, aiming for a potential unification fight between Wilder and Anthony Joshua, Whyte will more than likely wait.
