Wilder Claims Hearn Is Scared Of Him
As Deontay Wilder continues his war of words against Anthony Joshua , the WBC world heavyweight champion has also gone after his promoter Eddie Hearn.
While Hearn claims that Joshua wants a fight with Wilder, but has to wait till after Joshua fights Parker on March 31st to negotiate.
Wilder, in an interview with the BBC claims that Hearn is trying to dance around the fact he wants Joshua to avoid Wilder.
“I don’t believe Hearn wants this fight at all. Joshua is like a cow, Eddie Hearn is milking him for every dollar.
“Hearn knows I’m a dangerous factor to his operation. There have been no negotiations at all, no deal has been offered. But the world wants to see me and Joshua get in the ring.”
On the opposite side of the pond, Hearn in an interview with Boxing Scene feels that Wilder is a great salesman, but he needs better people at the negotiating table.
“He’s making very small money and needs a new promoter. I don’t think he has a promoter at the moment, so if he doesn’t – Deontay just pick up the phone, drop me a line. We’ll get this AJ fight, we’ll make you some real money.
“He’s WBC champion, he’s a great fighter, who is a great personality, but for this camp he’s been like a one-man salesman, just travelling around the globe, trying to sell his own fight. He should be in camp. This is a proper fight, his first real test.
