Wilder Ready For His Closeup?

Deontay Wilder is looking for the role he was born to play, as he campaigns for a role in the Creed series of films.

While he looks to knock out Luis Ortiz on November 23rd, the WBC world heavyweight champion feels like it is time for him to be more than just a boxer.

“My passion is acting,” Wilder told reporters. “I’m doing thing thus far and I’ve been killing it. I’m looking forward to do more in the acting field.”

With appearances on Magnum P.I, Billions, and some time on the reality program WAGS Atlanta, Wilder has been building up a resume and been rumored to be the villain to Michael B. Jordan’s Adonis Creed, the son of Apollo Creed.

“I don’t know if they’re gonna have another Creed or not,” Wilder admitted. “There have been rumors. If opportunities come about, I’m the man for the job. I’m up for that part. I can fit that description—my attitude and my looks, my demeanor as I approach boxing.”

“As long as they have me knocking somebody out,” Wilder said of his possible role. “That’s what I do in my regular life. I’m a knockout artist.”
