Ex-WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder was reportedly taken into custody on May 2nd, 2023, for carrying a hidden firearm.
According to TMZ, the police pulled over Wilder in Hollywood due to his Rolls Royce having the following: tinted windows and an obstructed license plate.
Additionally, the officers claimed to have smelled marijuana and discovered a 9mm firearm during the stop.
Reports indicate that Wilder was apprehended at 1:15 a.m. by the Los Angeles Police Department for approximately five hours. During that process, he was allegedly released on bail, amounting to $35,000.
