Wilder Vs. Breazeale Live Results
Leading up to this fight, Deontay Wilder has done all he could to hype the bout up. Now, the time for talk is over. Wilder will look to be a man of his word as he defends the WBC Heavyweight Title against Dominic Breazeale. The bout will be taking place inside the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.
Wilder (40-0-1) is looking for his ninth title defense in a row, but looking for a true win. His last fight against Tyson Fury was a split decision draw. After months of attempting a rematch, Fury signed with Top Rank and Wilder remained with PBC and Showtime. Now, he looks to settle a personal rivalry with the man from Glendale, California.
Breazeale (20-1) is on a three-fight win streak. He last fought for a title back in 2016, losing to Anthony Joshua for the IBF Heavyweight Title. Both fighters have animosity towards one another based off of claims regarding Wilder’s family. Wilder himself has even stated that he is still “looking for a body” when facing Breazeale.
In the co-main event, Gary Russell Jr. will face off against Kiko Martinez for the Featherweight Championship. Ruseell Jr. (29-1) is on a five-fight win streak and will look to defend his title for the fourth time. Martinez (39-8-2) is 3-1-1 in his last five bouts.
