Will Anthony Joshua Hire Canelo’s Trainer Eddy Reynoso For Oleksandr Usyk Rematch?

Anthony Joshua has sparked rumors in his trip to California after clicking a photo with Canelo Alvarez and the unified champion’s trainer Eddy Reynoso.

The picture began circulating on social media as soon as the former heavyweight champ toured Canelo’s gym.

People were doubting if AJ had come to ask Reynoso to train him for his upcoming fight against Oleksandr Usyk in early 2022. Last month, Joshua lost to Usyk via unanimous decision and lost his WBA, WBO and IBF belts to the Ukrainian star.

Judges scored the contest 117-112, 116-112, 115-113 in Usyk’s favor.

AJ has not, however, hinted at changing his head coach Rob McCracken or any team member.

When his promoter Eddie Hearn was asked about it, the Matchroom Sports boss refused to comment.

When he suffered his career’s first loss to Andy Ruiz Jr, everyone expected AJ to change his coaching team, but he only added more members to the team and continued with McCracken.

In his fight against Usyk, the heavyweight was criticized for not being tactically sound and not using height and weight advantage to overwhelm Usyk, who is comparatively shorter than AJ.

Manny Pacquiao’s trainer and Hall of Fame coach, Freddie Roach, has also offered AJ to train under him. Even WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has offered to help the fellow Brit with sparring.
