Will Canelo Alvarez Fight Jermall Charlo, Dmitry Bivol Or GGG Soon?

Canelo Alvarez (57-1-2, 39 KOs) has multiple, lucrative offers on the table. He has already been given the nod by the WBC to jump two divisions and have a crack at the cruiserweight title.

In the meanwhile, every promotion is looking to get their key fighters to have a match-up with the pound-for-pound king who became the undisputed super-middleweight champion in November with a TKO victory over Caleb Plant.

PBC has offered Canelo to come to terms with a fight against middleweight champ Jermall Charlo, according to MMA reporter Mike Coppinger.

Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing has also shown keen interest in fixing a two-fight deal between Canelo and light heavyweight titlist Dmitry Bivol. They want the two juggernauts to square off on May 7.

Fans may also get to witness one of the best trilogies in boxing if Canelo agrees to put all four of his belts on the line against Gennady Golovkin for a final dance on September 17.

While the promotions have proposed different dates for the matchups, Canelo has always preferred to enter the ring on Cinco De Mayo weekends, and nothing seems to change this year as well for the Mexican star.

At the moment, Alvarez has plenty of time to decide which path he wants to pursue for those dates. The promotion for most top-level fights commences eight weeks out, which gives Alvarez at least one month to weigh these two options and whatever other offers are sure to come his way.
