Will Jessica Eye Be Another MMA Fighter To Turn To WWE?

Jessica Eye has a new career in mind.

Eye said she wants to go from mixed martial arts to professional wrestling after retiring from professional MMA. This past weekend at UFC 276, Eye lost to Maycee Barber via unanimous decision and declared her retirement after the fight.

She made this decision after suffering her fourth loss in a row.

Eye was asked about her plans for the future during the post-fight press conference.

“I’ve always wanted to dabble in wrestling,” Eye said.

“In pro wrestling. I want to be the female Undertaker. I want to ride a motorcycle down to the Octagon and DDT somebody. I’d love to do that.

“… Jessica “Evil Eye” is ready. Jessica “Evil” Eye does not end here, she’s just starting a new journey.”

Eye wouldn’t be the first MMA fighter to transition to professional wrestling.

She would be adding her name to a growing list that already includes Shayna Baszler, Ronda Rousey, Valerie Loureda and more.

Rousey has benefited the most from the change, competing in the first-ever women’s match to serve as the main event of a WrestleMania. She recently finished her first reign as the SmackDown Women’s Champion and has won numerous championships in the WWE.

Rousey was defeated by Liv Morgan and forfeited the SmackDown Women’s Title over the weekend at the WWE’s Money In The Bank Premium Event.
