Will Joe Rogan Commentate At UFC 272?

UFC President Dana White said Joe Rogan will be there.

Rogan was absent from the UFC 271 commentary team after many outlets reported he was going to return. White shut down rumors and clarified that Rogan chose not to work the event, which headline middleweight king Israel Adesanya versus Robert Whittaker in a rematch.

“Yeah, he’ll be here,” White told Barstool Sports.

“[Rogan is] on this week, [Daniel] Cormier’s off.”

The longtime commentator has been facing controversy the last few months for allegedly spreading misinformation about the Covid-19 vaccines on his Spotify podcast and after a racial-slur compilation went viral.

Though Rogan was absent from UFC 271, chants of “Free Joe Rogan” were heard throughout the fight card. Rogan has become a staple in the UFC community, working with them since 1997.

Cormier will miss this weekend’s pay-per-view because of the recent death of his mother, which he announced earlier this week.

UFC 272 features a non-title main event between former friends Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington.
