Wilnis, Embree Win GLORY 33 Bonuses

Jason Wilnis and Matt Embree received fight bonuses for their performances at GLORY 33, which took place on Sept. 9 at the Sun National Bank Center in Trenton, New Jersey.

Wilnis competed on the GLORY SUPERFIGHT SERIES portion of the card, and he defeated Simon Marcus via third-round knockout to win the GLORY middleweight championship. The fight was intense between the two, and the finish earned Wilnis, in addition to the title, a $5,000 Knockout of the Night bonus.

Meanwhile, Embree, who was making his GLORY debut, competed on the main card aired on ESPN2. He took part in a four-person featherweight tournament, and won both of his fights in spectacular knockout fashion. He now places himself in line for a GLORY featherweight title bout, most likely against the winner of the upcoming title bout between Gabriel Varga and challenger Robin van Roosmalen, the former GLORY lightweight champion. Embree took him a $5,000 Fighter of the Night bonus.
