Winn Gets New Opponent For UFC Debut

After a win in Bellator, and the only standout victory at Golden Boy MMA’s first and only event, Deron Winn has a new opponent for this Saturday night’s UFC Greenville card.

Winn, a protege of UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier was set to face off against Bruno Silva, but the middleweight fighter withdrew from the event, and has been replaced by former Ultimate Fighter semi-finalist, Eric Spicely, who was released late last year.

Per MMA Junkie, Spicely was re-signed by the UFC over the weekend specifically to fight Winn, who is undefeated in five attempts as a pro fighter.

Spicely and Winn make up a portion of the ESPN 2 undercard for the latest edition of the UFC on ESPN+ from Greenville, South Carolina.
