Wladimir And Vitali Klitschko Back Oleksandr Usyk’s Decision

It seems like the match between Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 19 KOs) and Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) is gathering pace.

In the last few days, multiple outlets reported the heavyweight champion had left Ukraine to train for his rematch against the British boxer.

Usyk has received a lot of support in recent weeks following Russia’s invasion on his home country. Even though no one was clear whether the Ukrainian would leave the country for the match, it is clear that he wants to dethrone Joshua at all costs.

Now, the Klitschko brothers have come out in full support for the WBO champion.

“If Oleksandr plans to fight Joshua, I would like to give him some advice. I would like to share special messages so he can make his mark on the fight,” Vitali told talkSPORT.

“You wouldn’t want to be in Oleksandr’s shoes when it comes to making this decision. However, considering the current situation, if he sees the Ukrainian flag getting waved with the national anthem, it would become a source of adrenaline for him,” Wladimir expressed.

The 35-year-old outpointed Joshua in London, which enabled the Brit to trigger the rematch clause.
