Woodley-Edwards Set For UFC London

Tyron Woodley will make that leap across the pond to regain his footing in the welterweight division.

Woodley will fight for the first time since losing the welterweight title to Kamaru Usman earlier this year, as he faces Edwards inside the O2 Arena on March 21st in the UFC’s annual trip to London.

Edwards gained notoriety on the 2019 London card due to his backstage brawl with Jorge Masvidal, who had defeated Darren Till by TKO in the second round, while Edwards took a split decision win over Gunnar Nelson.

Woodley, who was welterweight champion from 2016 until his decision loss to Usman this past March, will fight for the first time since that loss marking the second-longest gap between fights in his career, the first being his 14 month hiatus in 2017 due to injury and issues with securing a fight with then-interim champion Colby Covington.
