Woodley-Lawler II To Headline UFC On ESPN 4

Both coming off major losses at UFC 235, Tyron Woodley and Robby Lawler will face off in a rematch on June 29th.

First reported by Marc Raimondi of MMA Fighting, Woodley and Lawler will hedline UFC on ESPN 4 from the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on June 29th.

The two first went at it in 2016, when Woodley would knockout Lawler to gain the UFC welterweight title at UFC 201.

This marks Woodley’s first non-title match since that night, defending the title four times prior to his loss to Kamaru Usman at UFC 235.

With only one win in his last four fights, Lawler looks to bounce back from his own loss at UFC 235, when he would he would fall to Ben Askren in the first round via submission.

The move comes as a surprise, as many thought Lawler would get a rematch with Askren, due to what was considered a controversial stoppage by referee Herb Dean.
