Wrestling World Champion Jordan Burroughs Wants ‘Just One’ MMA Fight, But Wife Says Otherwise
Olympic gold medal wrestler Jordan Burroughs wants to compete in an MMA fight.
But his wife, Lauren, says otherwise.
Burroughs tweeted on Wednesday that he wants just “one” MMA fight before he retires.
“I want one MMA fight before I retire. Just one,” he tweeted.

And while the request had mixed reactions, his wife, Lauren, was completely against it.
“I literally left you to go down to the gym for an hour and you lost all control,” she responded.

Burroughs wasn’t able to further detail his request after his wife apparently snatched his phone like former First Lady Michelle Obama did to former President Barack Obama.

But this isn’t the first time Burroughs’ name was mixed in with MMA talks.
In 2019, UFC President Dana White said he’d be very interested to see the wrestling world champion in the UFC.
Back in January, Burroughs clarified that he’s a big fan of MMA, but he doesn’t want to get punched in the face.
While it’s unclear exactly what Burroughs will do, he still has a number of wrestling accolades on his resume including winning gold medals at the 2012 Summer Olympics, Pan American Games and US Open championships.
