WWE Linked With White House Event

WWE is exploring the possibility of hosting an event on the South Lawn of the White House, riding the wave of momentum generated by UFC Freedom 250, according to Wrestle Votes.

TKO Group Holdings, which owns both the UFC and WWE, is said to be testing the waters on a potential wrestling event after WWE officials were impressed by what the UFC pulled off on June 14. The move would come despite Dana White insisting after Freedom 250 that the White House would never host another UFC event, citing the enormous cost involved. A WWE show would be a separate production entirely under the same corporate umbrella. President Trump’s ties to the UFC are well documented, but his history with WWE stretches back decades — most notably his involvement in the “Battle of the Billionaires” at WrestleMania 23 in 2007.
