Zhang Vs. Joyce 2 Weigh-In Results
Zhilei Zhang and Joe Joyce weighed in for their fight on September 23rd, 2023.
In a rematch of their first fight when Zhang stopped Joyce in the sixth round, the Brit has it all on the line. The WBO interim heavyweight champion title is at stake, with the winner being in line for a mandatory shot for Oleksandr Usyk’s WBA, WBO and IBF titles.
Joyce was expected to come in heavier than the first time when he weighed 15 pounds lighter compared to his fight with Joseph Parker. And so it showed as Joyce hit the scales at 281.2 pounds, which was 25.2 pounds more than last time, in a career-high. As for Zhang, the southpaw’s career has had a resurgence at the age of 40. The Chinese vowed to punish Joyce once again by targeting his eye as he weighed in at 287 pounds, which was nine pounds more than last time and also a career-high. With that being said, here were the full results.
