Zhang Wants Fury After Joyce, The ‘Gypsy King’ Offers To Help Joyce Prepare For Zhang

Zhilei Zhang is targeting Tyson Fury next should he come out victorious in his rematch with Joe Joyce

Zhang will face Joyce once again on September 23rd, 2023, after having dominated the first fight.

The 40-year-old stopped Joyce in the sixth round, as the Brit suffered a closed-up eye, causing the referee to stop the fight.

In the aftermath, Zhang became the WBO interim heavyweight champion which put him in line to face Oleksandr Usyk.

Although that may have been the case, Zhang did demand Fury immediately by even going so far as to mention a fight in China.

But since Joyce exercised the rematch clause, those plans were put on the back burner which is why a Zhang win could now make it a reality.

“Last time I made history, the best inheritance of history is to create new history. Creating a new history of the Chinese in the field of boxing is my mission and my original intention.

“We don’t have a long term plan at the moment, our focus is still the battle with Joyce. After Joyce, fighting with Tyson Fury would be my next target,” Zhang

Nevertheless, Fury has thrown another curveball into the mix by offering Joyce the chance to spar him in order to get ready for the bout.

So much so that Fury expressed he had the keys to beating the Chinese heavyweight, which will only go on to strengthen the demand for a Zhang-Fury fight.

“Joe, I saw you got the Zhang fight coming up again. If you want some proper southpaw sparring from someone who’s bigger, fatter, quicker, harder puncher — everything than Zhang, please come up to Morecambe and do some sparring with me.

“I know how to beat Zhang,” Fury said
