Zhilei Zhang Vs. Joe Joyce 2 Pre-Fight Presser

Zhilei Zhang and Joe Joyce held their pre-fight presser ahead of their upcoming rematch on September 23rd, 2023.

Zhang stopped Joyce in the sixth round during their first fight to secure the WBO interim heavyweight champion title after the latter could not continue following excessive swelling to his eye. The win put Zhang next in line to face Oleksandr Usyk for his unified heavyweight titles, WBO, WBA and IBF, as a mandatory. A win for Joyce, however, would keep his world title ambitions alive in a bout that he cannot afford to lose. And with both fighters at the latter parts of their career, a win is vital.

In chief support, Anthony Yarde will aim to bounce back from his defeat to the unified light heavyweight champion, Artur Beterbiev, as he was stopped in the eighth round in his last fight. With that being said, here were the key quotes from the main event.
