Zhilei Zhang and Joe Joyce are set to have their heavyweight rematch on September 2nd, 2023, at the OVO Arena Wembley.
Joyce will be looking for revenge on Zhang, as the latter stopped Joyce in six rounds as a result of excessive swelling following a cut to his eye.
In doing so, Joyce lost his WBO heavyweight interim title that had placed him as a mandatory to face Oleksandr Usyk.
Not only that but a super fight with Tyson Fury was also scuppered as the ‘Juggernaut’ decided to exercise his right to a rematch.

As for Zhang, the victory proved to be somewhat of a renaissance for his career. The 40-year-old southpaw rolled back the years, showing that the heavyweight division was still as unpredictable as ever.
A potential fight with Fury had also beckoned before Joyce decided to have the rematch. With that being said, the boxing community was looking forward to seeing how the rematch would play out.
