Zuffa Boxing Closer To A Reality

In two-months Dana White plans to change the way you look at boxing.

White, who has been the UFC President since 2001, has been promising a Zuffa Boxing brand since the Mayweather-McGregor fight in 2017. Now, in October, White is looking to make good on that promise.

“I’ve hired a guy to come in and run the boxing side,” White said recently of a mystery hire. “Actually over here on the other side of my office, construction is going on, we’re building offices and a war room and all the things that we’re going to need for this thing to start running in October.

“I’m hoping to have Zuffa Boxing fully functional and running by October.”

With the UFC Apex facility opening at the start of the most recent season of the Tuesday Night Contender Series, White has the perfect home to host the initial slate of events, along with the revived Ultimate Fighter competition series.

Which fighters do you think will work for Zuffa Boxing? Do you believe a UFC style approach to the sport will be beneficial? Will this be Golden Boy MMA 2.0?
