Zuffa Boxing Signs Another Big Name Adding Conor Benn To Their Roster

Dana White announced on Friday that Zuffa Boxing has signed former WBA Continental titleholder Conor Benn to their newly formed promotion.

Benn (24-1) most recently squared off with former two-time IBO super-middleweight champion Chris Eubank Jr. last November, and earned his biggest win so far on the judges’ scorecards unanimously. Many are expressing their opinion that the UFC CEO turned boxing promoter scooped up Benn at the perfect time in his career, as he is still a rising star on the worldwide scale.

“Conor Benn is an absolute beast and a superstar,” White said. “He shows up every time and destroys people, and now some of the best fighters in the world are calling him out. He’s ready for a world title next and I can’t wait to see him compete in Zuffa Boxing. He’s going to be a huge addition to a growing stable of very talented boxers.”

Following the announcement of his signing, Benn also took to social media, not only to reveal his next steps but to thank his former promoter Eddie Hearn with Matchroom Boxing. At this time, no details of his contract with Zuffa Boxing have come out, but Benn referred to the promotion’s offer as one that could not be refused in his post.

Of course, this new signing for Zuffa Boxing comes on the heels of Eddie Hearn once again bashing Zuffa’s product in an interview, which many are reading into as Matchroom feeling threatened by the new promotion.
