AJ Vs. Whyte Called Off, Whyte Fails A Drug Test
Anthony Joshua vs. Dillian Whyte has been called off after the latter failed a drug test.
The pair were set to face each other on August 12th, 2023, in what would have been a rematch following their 2015 bout.
During the course of that process, Joshua won via a seventh-round knockout. This time around the fight was seen as ideal preparation for a potential super fight with Deontay Wilder.
And yet, Matchroom have now confirmed that the bout is off after VADA discovered an adverse finding.

“In light of this news, the fight has been cancelled, and a full investigation will be conducted,” Matchroom
It is not clear where Joshua goes next. A new fight date and opponent will most likely be sought, as the Brit is keen on remaining active.
As for Whyte, the news does not look good following the recent Conor Benn testing saga.
And with boxing facing serious question marks over fighters and doping, the sport has to navigate another tricky spot.
