Main Undercard 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT (PPV) Live Results:

Co-Main Event: Weili Zhang vs. Xiaonan Yan – UFC Strawweight Title

In tonight’s all Chinese co-main event the action was back and forth from start to finish. Despite almost being choked unconscious in the early stages of the match, Xiaonan Yan rallied, and even knocked her opponent down on two separate occasions later in the fight.

Though, despite her ability to survive and generate some offense of her own, in the end Yan was not able to derail the persistent approach of the current champion in Weili Zhang.

After a serious display of heart and determination from both women, Zhang walked away with the unanimous decision and retained her strawweight title.

Official Result: Weili Zhang def. Xiaonan Yan via Decision (Unanimous)

Justin Gaethje vs. Max Holloway – BMF Title (Lightweight)

In this 155-pound battle for Justin Gaethje’s BMF title, Max Holloway displayed extremely crisp boxing technique throughout the five round affair. It was clear that Holloway had the speed advantage over his opponent, but the power and tenacity of Gaethje kept him in this bout almost to the final bell.

Even after receiving two unintentional eye pokes, and a spinning back kick that smashed his nose, the Trevor Wittman trained fighter kept moving forward and throwing.

In the final 10-seconds of the fight, Holloway pointed to the center of the cage, suggesting the final moments should be spent exchanging strikes. Gaethje obliged and began to open up, but unfortunately got caught by an overhand right from Holloway that absolutely turned his lights off.

In a bout that he likely had secured on the scorecards, Holloway risked everything to put on a show, and managed to rise to the occasion and knockout his opponent with just one second left in the match.

Max Holloway def. Justin Gaethje via Knockout (Overhand Right) – Round 5, 4:59

Charles Oliveira vs. Arman Tsarukyan – Lightweights

Despite a valiant effort by the former champion in Charles Oliveira, Arman Tsaryukyan managed to score skillful takedowns, and escaped from submission attempts in both the first and third round.

In the end, Tsarukyan did just enough to edge out the split decision victory over “do Bronx”. Through this victory, he has improved his overall record to 22-3, and is now on a 4-fight octagon win streak.
