Blockbuster UFC Fights To Come In 2021
This year has been full of action inside the action for UFC fans, with both men and women champions in the UFC defending their straps.
Some high-profile showdowns like Kamaru Usman vs Jorge Masvidal were one of the most thrilling fights of the year, but there are a lot of fights still left on the plate before the year ends.
On November 6, the Nigerian Nightmare will defend his title against Colby Covington in a rematch scheduled for UFC 268. They will feature in the main event in Madison Square Garden. The welterweights first met in 2019 with Usman eventually finishing Covington in the final round.
The UFC 268 co-main features Rose Namajunas and Zhang Weili. They have been booked for a rematch after Namajunas beat the Chinese MMA star in their last bout to don the strawweight strap. ‘Thug’ struck an inch-perfect head kick out to relieve Weili of her title.
Justin Gaethje and Michael Chandler will be seen in action at UFC 268 as well. Both have 22 pro MMA wins under their belt.
A week later, Max Holloway will face Yair Rodriguez. The Hawaii-native will be looking to beat the rising star to book another fight against champion Volkanovski.
Rob Font and Jose Aldo will fight in December, and lightweights Rafael Fiziev and Brad Riddell will also feature on the same night.
In late December at UFC 269, Dustin Poirier will challenge lightweight champion Charles Oliviera. The Diamond is coming off two consecutive wins over Conor McGregor and looking in his peak form. Oliviera beat Chandler in his last fight to capture the vacant title that Khabib Nurmagomedov had left after retiring from the sport.
On the same night, Amanda Nunes will defend her bantamweight title against Julianna Peña.
