Canadian MMA Pioneer Pleads Guilty To Criminal Charges From 2023 Vehicle Incident

Canadian MMA Veteran, and former K-1 Japan competitor, Kultar Gill has pled guilty to criminal charges that stemmed from an incident in 2023 in which he drove his car into a police station.

During the series of events, the female passenger inside the car that Gill was recklessly driving was able to escape after reportedly being dragged by the car out of an open door for a period of time prior to the crash into a Royal Canadian Mounted Police station in Abbotsford, British Columbia.

Gill got his start on the regional circuit in Canada, and also competed with TKO, the organization where many Northern MMA stars, such as Georges St-Pierre, got their start. The former competitor eventually moved on from Canada, though, and pursued a career in Japan, where he made a name for himself competing in K-1 and DREAM. Additionally, Gill would eventually move on to compete with Indian organization SFL, where he fought twice in 2012, achieving first round knockouts in each outing.
