Conor McGregor Has More Acting Roles Following ‘Road House’ Debut

Conor McGregor has further film roles lined up following his acting debut in ‘Road House.’

McGregor stars alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in a remake of the 1989 film. The reviews of Road House are fairly positive, praising McGregor’s performance. The UFC fighter plays the film’s villain, Knox, who crosses paths with Gyllenhaal’s character, Elwood Dalton, a bouncer at a Florida Keys roadhouse.

The Hollywood actor praised McGregor’s humility in the role and his willingness to learn. While McGregor showed enthusiasm, there were some obstacles along the way. Gyllenhaal recalled being hit by McGregor accidentally during a fight scene. However, the overall experience has made McGregor want more.

“For sure, for sure [there are more roles]. Oh, yes,” McGregor said

The news casts further doubt over McGregor’s UFC career. He has not fought since his loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in 2021. While he recently confirmed that a UFC return is ‘all systems go’ for the summer, neither the UFC nor Dana White has made an official announcement. But with further acting roles lined up, McGregor is forging his career post-UFC.
