Adrien Broner vs Blair Cobbs Set For March 31

Adrien Broner will face Blair Cobbs in a welterweight clash on May 31.

Broner has not fought since beating William Hutchinson in June last year. The win came after Broner had been out of the ring for over three years. The four-division champion struggled with mental health and alcohol problems. After the win, Broner targeted the biggest names, calling out Regis Prograis, Rolando Romero and Ryan Garcia. Those fights never materialized as Broner faces Cobbs.

Cobbs last entered the ring in 2022, beating Maurice Hooker via a unanimous decision. The boxer bounced back after being knocked out in his previous fight against Alexis Rocha. Cobbs’ record stands at 16-1-1. Heading into the fight, he is confident about causing an upset.

“Blair The Flair, my sparring partner is way sharper than you. I’m about to f*** you up. May 31st,” Adrien Broner said

“It’s very much a reality, and it’s happening, May 31st. He’s trying to warm up his trash-talking. I hope he can do better than that. I’ve never sparred him, but it’s going to be very interesting what happens on fight night. The end awaits. Blair The Flair is here. I’m training for the very best of Adrien Broner. He’s not an easy task, and we’ve never seen Broner stopped until Blair The Flair. He can back up, but he’s not a good runner. It’s not like he can punch and move at the same time. If I have to chase him, I’m winning the fight. I’m breaking him down. The moment he steps back, the fight is over. I’m used to being the underdog,” Cobbs stated
