Danny Garcia Returns To The Ring After Break

After a year and a half, Danny Garcia (36-3-0, 21 KOs) will be making his return to the ring.

This Saturday on Showtime, 34-year-old Garcia makes his Jr. middleweight debut against Jose Benavidez Jr. (27-1-1, 18 KOs). The fight will begin at 9 PM ET.

Defeating Lucas Matthysse nine years ago and being placed on the undercard for the Floyd Mayweather vs. Saul Alvarez fight and getting his belt after defeating Robert Guerrero, Garcia has had many memorable moments in his career.

Once the best Jr. welterweight title of the world, Danny Garcia had the world on his shoulders.

The next questions are: Will Danny Garcia be able to make a strong debut as he returns to the ring this Saturday? Does he still have what it takes?

Although Garcia has dealt with many losses against Shawn Porter, Keith Thurman and Errol Spence, he has still proven himself to be a strong fighter and Saturday will be his time to show the world that Danny Garcia is back again for more.

Facing the 30-year-old Jose Benavidez Jr. on Saturday, Benavidez has been respected in the sport, and recently returned from a three-year layoff.

With both fighters having been on long breaks, it is uncertain who will bring home a win this upcoming Saturday.

For Garcia, his goal is to retire if he were to beat Jermell Charlo. It is a possible fight that could come up in the future.
