Gable Steveson will face Hugo Lezama at Mexico Fight League 3 in heavyweight clash at February 19 in Monterrey, Mexico.
The 25-year-old had an impressive 2025, securing three first-round knockouts. Gable’s first MMA fight was a stoppage win over Braden Peterson at LFA 217 in September last year. He then knocked out Billy Swanson in a 15-second KO in his “Dirty Boxing” debut against Billy Swanson. Gable’s last bout was a win over Kevin Hein in just 24 seconds at APFC 21. Steveson’s swift development is being credited to his work with UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones. Meanwhile, Lezama has eleven wins coming by way of knockout or submission. While Steveson is the favorite, Lezama provides the kind of experience and durability that Steveson has yet to face. We’ll see if Steveson will be impressive enough to achieve his dream and earn a UFC contract.
