Gervonta Davis Climbs Pound-For-Pound Ranking

Although there are those who say that a fighter has to beat a pound-for-pounder to be one himself, Gervonta Davis is already moving up due to his strong resume.

He has a track record of being able to achieve victories over elite opposition in multiple divisions. This includes his Saturday match against Rolando Romero, where “Tank” turned a very competitive fight against a very capable fighter into a highlight knockout.

As a result, Davis has moved up two positions on the Boxing Junkie pound-for-pound list.

Jumping from No. 13 to No. 11, he has caused middleweight title holder Gennadiy Golovkin and 175-pound champ Artur Beterbiev to drop one place each.

With Davis’ promising career ahead of him, there is a good chance that he will continue to rise to the top.

Here is how the list currently stands.
