Gervonta Davis Is Back In Training – What’s Next?

Gervonta Davis has returned to training with all eyes on who he could face next.

Davis has been out of action since his win over Ryan Garcia in a fight that became the highest-grossing event of 2023. That set the stage for Davis to become an international superstar, having broken the 1 million pay-per-view mark, with reports that the bout sold over $1.2 million pay-per-views.

However, the victory was accompanied by a major setback as Davis was required to do time behind bars. That was in relation to violating the terms of his house arrest over a hit-and-run incident. But now that the boxer has been released, Davis’ focus has quickly returned to the sport. In the video here, Davis can be seen working on the pads as the speed shows no signs of diminishing.

While that may be the case, an opponent has yet to be confirmed. Recent talk had suggested that Tank could run things back with Garcia, following his insistence on doing so, as Oscar De La Hoya suggested a bout at 140. Meanwhile, the talks over an Isaac Cruz rematch continue to crop up. And yet, a super fight against Shakur Stevenson or Devin Haney appears to be the riskier fights. But in any event, boxing fans were delighted to see Davis back.
