Jean Silva Earns Finish In Main Event At Noche UFC

In the main event of Noche UFC 4 in Glendale Arizona, Jean Silva fought through adversity against Jose Miguel Delgado to earn the victory by submission in the third round.

Heading into the night, Delgado was riding the momentum of a two-fight winning streak, finding recent victories over strong featherweight competitors Andre Fili and Austin Bashi. But the Arizona Native’s momentum came to a screeching halt when he was met head on with the relentless pressure of ‘Lord’ Silva, who has only suffered one loss in his now eight fight run with the UFC, which began with an impressive performance on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2023.

Throughout the match, Delgado kept things very competitive in the striking department, catching his opponent with staggering shots on multiple occasions. Right out of the gate in the first round, Delgado came out with a flurry of shots that sent the Silva tumbling back, receiving an obvious message that he was in for a war. Luckily for Silva, he seems to thrive naturally in chaotic situations, and with every ounce of aggression that came his way, he could turn it into offensive energy of his own.

By the third round, his offense hit a climax when he opened up with a series of stiff punches that sent his opponent to the canvas. Once on the ground, Silva was able to secure back control of Delgado, and finish the match with a constricting one-arm rear naked choke.

Following the match, Silva was asked who he is interested in facing next following the second straight victory since his 2025 title elimination setback against Diego Lopes, and he made it clear he is after the next shot at 145-pound gold.

Next month, Alexander Volkanovski will put his featherweight title on the line against Movsar Evloev, and Silva sees himself squaring off with the winning of that bout.
