Luis Ortiz’s Next Opponent Set For November 7

Luis Ortiz’s next fight has been reportedly set.

Ortiz collided with Deontay Wilder a second time for the WBC Heavyweight Championship back on November 23, 2019. For the second time, Ortiz was stopped by Wilder. This time, “King Kong” was knocked out in the seventh round.

Ortiz hasn’t fought since that time but he’ll soon find himself back inside a boxing ring. Mike Coppinger of The Athletic reports that Ortiz is scheduled to collide with Alexander Flores on November 7. The heavyweight tilt will headline a PBC on FOX card.

“Sources: Luis Ortiz is set to fight Alexander Flores on Nov. 7 in the main event of PBC on FOX. Ortiz’s first fight since a second KO loss to Deontay Wilder. Flores’ two defeats came via knockout against Joseph Parker and Charles Martin”

Flores has a pro boxing record of 18-2-1. He’s coming off a sixth-round TKO victory over Mario Heredia back on November 7, 2019. The lone defeats in the career of Flores have been against Joseph Parker and Charles Martin.

Ortiz is hoping to get back in the win column. He hasn’t emerged victorious since March 2, 2019. He scored a unanimous decision victory over Christian Hammer almost nine months before he was knocked out by Wilder in the rematch.
