Nate Diaz to White: Why You Lying?
Rumors had swirled for a couple of weeks that UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley and Nate Diaz could clash in the UFC Octagon — potentially at the UFC 219 event on Dec. 30 in Las Vegas. But with the event just four weeks away now, it looks unlikely this fight will come to fruition.
At a UFC media scrum in Vegas for UFC 219, UFC President Dana White shot down the idea of the said fight. Over the past couple of weeks, Woodley has been taunting Diaz, adding fuel to the fire that this could become a potential match-up.
White claims that Woodley never got offered a fight with the younger Diaz brother; instead, one of the UFC’s lawyers supposedly had just asked both parties if they would be interested. While Woodley responded immediately to White’s statement, no response came from Diaz.
