Report: Daniel Jacobs’ Opponent For November 27 Revealed
Daniel Jacobs now has a fight set before 2020 comes to a close.
BoxingScene.com is reporting that Jacobs will collide with Gabe Rosado on November 27. The venue has not been revealed. The bout is said to headline a DAZN card in the United States and the United Kingdom.
The report noted that DAZN executives initially pushed for John Ryder to be Jacobs’ next opponent due to the launch of its streaming service in the UK. Philadelphia’s Rosado ended up being the final choice.
Jacobs hasn’t competed since December 20, 2019. He defeated Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. when Chavez didn’t come out to fight for the sixth round. It was a rebound win for Jacobs, who was coming off a unanimous decision loss to Canelo Alvarez.
Rosado last competed on the same card as Jacobs vs. Chavez. He took on Humberto Gutierrez Ochoa. Rosado picked up the unanimous decision victory. In the bout prior, Rosado dropped a unanimous decision to Maciej Sulecki.
Jacobs will likely be a sizable favorite against Rosado. Jacobs is a former WBA Middleweight Champion with a pro boxing record of 36-3. Meanwhile, Rosado has a record of 25-12-1, 1 NC.
