Rungvisai Hands Chocolatito First KO Loss

While there was some controversy in their first fight, there is no debate on the result here.

Srisaket Sor Rungvisai stunned the boxing community late Saturday night, defeating Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez by knockout to retain the WBC Super Flyweight Championship.

Chocolatito seemed to struggle a bit and put forth a lackluster performance in the first round before ultimately improving in the second. Rungvisai, however, was firing from the start and was in the driver’s seat from the opening bell.

After a third round where both men threw down, Rungvisai managed to score a knockdown early in the fourth. While Gonzalez managed to get up, it took just one hard shot to send Chocolatito to the canvas out cold, giving Rungvisai the win and a successful title defense.
