Showtime Sues Illegal Streamers

In an attempt to protect their investment, Showtime is preemptively striking illegal streaming platforms from airing Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor on August 26th.

The network is visiting a strategy utilized for 2015’s  Floyd Mayweather vs.  Manny Pacquiao fight where the network’s legal team scouted out a bunch of potential illegal streaming sites and committed to legal action prior to the event. And with a potential $500 million dollar and over 5 million buys projected on the table, Showtime will do whatever they can to ensure that next Saturday’s fight is only available to them.
