Undercard For Kirkland-Hernandez Announced
The undercard preliminary bouts for the James Kirkland-Marcos Hernandez fight is set.
According to Premier Boxing Champions, the FS1 PBC Fight Night card at 8 p.m. ET on March 14 will be headlined by Jonathan Esquivel v. Dormedes Potes.
Esquivel (13-0) last fought in November, beating Bryant McClain via TKO. He only needed one round to do so. With 12 wins via knockout, the 25-year-old placed third twice in the U.S. National Championships.
With nine wins via knockout, Potes (12-2-1) will be making his United States debut. His most recent contest was a win over Luis Guillermo Berrio in October via stoppage.
Beneath that fight, Cobia Breedy (15-0) will look to keep his undefeated streak alive against Eugene Lagos (16-5-3). Breedy won three fights in 2019 and has five wins via KO. Lagos has 11 wins via KO and it will be his third fight inside the United States. In a welterweight bout, Livan Navarro faces Demarcus Layton. Navarro (11-0) has seven wins via KO and continues to rise up the ranks in the welterweight division. Layton (8-1-1) has won two of his last three fights, and continues to impress wherever he goes.
Non-televised fighters competing include Eric Moon (11-2), Tyrek Irby (9-0), Cornell Hines (5-1), Dravontay Rawls (13-1-1), Aaron Anderson (6-0) and Jose Carlos Rivera (8-4-1).
