Valentina Shevchenko Hits Back At Jake Paul’s UFC Criticism

UFC flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko (26-4-1) mocked Jake Paul for claiming the UFC is “dying under Dana White,” considering the promotion is more popular and lucrative than ever.

The friction started after Paul described the upcoming UFC Freedom 250 card at the White House a “disappointment.” While Paul criticized the lack of names like Jon Jones or Conor McGregor on the June 14 South Lawn event, Shevchenko argued that the card—headlined by Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje—represents the “purest form” of the sport. Shevchenko mocked Paul’s claim that the UFC is in decline and challenged Jake to get into the Octagon with a UFC fighter.

“UFC dying?! Hey Jake, you definitely don’t know what you are talking about. Criticizing MMA from a long distance. Try to get into an octagon with one of them, they’ll wipe the floor with your pretty face. You will show spectacular, breathtaking fight from down there. Then you can tell us how fun or boring it was,” Shevchenko said
